Hi everyone,

I currently perform enzymatic experiments in which the amount of reduced exogenous NAD+ correlates with the level of a metabolite. However, my main concern is how to get rid of exogenous NAD+/NADH. I have seen many protocols that stated that HCl (pH-4.5) treatment can remove endogenous NAD+/NADH but I do not understand the mechanism. I need an explanation on how acid treatment can remove endogenous NAD+/NADH.
