Hi everybody!! I'm sorry because maybe i don't explain better my problem. I know from the literature the potentiality of the polydopamine to cover every type of substrates and it cuold be easy its synthesis (in basic condition) but i would you like to know how i can verify that the reaction is complete and the fiinal prodoct is polydopamine? for this reason i want to find a tecnique that can distinguish the polydopamine from dopamine. I hope that now i've been clear. Thanks
Since polydopamine is a polymer and dopamine is a monomer, you ought to be able to distinguish between them based on molecular weight, using gel permeation chromatography for example.

Polydopamine is a network polymer, so the chance of being able to easily use the MW increase is slim.
The normal method is to follow the change in the UV/Vis spectra, as the absorbance around 400 nm increases as the polymerisation progresses. You should be able to see that the polymer has formed by eye as it turns dark brown.

Agree with Andrew. The monomer doesn't adsorb much above 320nm so following the reaction by UV spectroscopy seems logical. IR might work quite well if you monitor the 1600-1700cm-1 range. Look at Liebscher et al (Langmuir 2013, 10539) for an interesting article on polydopamines.
