I am doing a study to find climate change effect on a catchment. I want future precipitation and temperature data from Scenarios RCP85 and RCP 45. What methodology/ website I should use to get climate data of 2050-2060 in excel format?
You can access future precipitation and temperature data for the entire world and from a range of CMIP5 scenarios - but in TIFF format - from the WorldClim consortium's CMIP5 page, at the following (for 1km spatial resolution): http://worldclim.org/cmip5_30s. You would then have to use other tools to convert that data to Excel format.
BTW, you can also access climate change scenario data in .CSV format from the following, but the data are from the CMIP3 (instead of the CMIP5): http://globalweather.tamu.edu/cmip.
Dear @Emil A. Cherrington The link you shared is very helpful many thanks for guidance. Can you Kindly guide me how I can extract future climate data for my study area?
Yi Wang, thank you for the link provided. it gives the historical raw data. i need the future monthly mean temperature and monthly ppt from 2020 to 2090. how can i extract those data?
You asked an important question related to GCM models' output. As the other researchers mentioned here, you can find different gates to download output data of GCMs. But if you want to apply them for a catchment or a basin first of all you should select a model or several of them (if you want to use ensemble of them), then after extract your region from that files. Definitely the extension of the files is in "nc" or "Netcdf".
I invite you to watch the video for better understanding:

It can help you to understand different related concept and find the related website to download your desire models and extract them.
Hi. I want to use future worldclim (monthly temperature )data for a region for 2050. But these data are available in 20-year periods. such as 2041- 2060. Could you please tell me how can I set this information for 2050? thanks in advance
