I want to simulate 4 gears in Abaqus and I made the model in Solidworks and in the true locations and positions.
it is seems to be tangent in 3 points each 2 gears together.
I checked the sketches and were tangented really.
The Analysis is general static.
The problem is 'unconnected region in the model' warning and dues to error.
I tangented gears in abaqus Assembely module but stupid Abaqus warning do not remove.
How i can fix the warninig.
I rotating the gears in first step and exact looding in the next teh step. but the problem is whit the angle of the rotating. finding the good angle whit small tension is too hard.
is here good solution for this warning?

3rd question: how can i find the location (X and Y coordinates) of the tangented points?

1-"There are 4 unconnected regions in the model." this warming is very often linked to the boundary condition, you must check your boundary conditions.
2- You can find the location (X and Y coordinates) of the tangent point using Point/Node feature (Tools->General Queries->Point/Node)

1) You could either define contact elements at the tangent, or use some form of constraint equations at the contact surfaces so that the different parts 'talk to each other' in your stiffness matrix.
2) Your error seems to be a typical run-away model case (one reason that makes even otherwise good engineers to sometimes swear!) where there are not enough constraints to satisfy equilibrium. So, you could connect the parts with RBE2 or RBE3 or some kind of rigids and over-constrain just to see if it still runs. Then you could progressively 'right-constrain' the model.
3) Another way would be to do modal analysis and check for parts that fly-off, and these fly-off parts that are not constrained could be tethered down.
4) A fourth way is to model step-by-step. Do some small coarse mesh problems with just two contacting components and solve. Slowly and incrementally increase complexity.
5) Lastly, FE engineers are an ambitious lot. Their model size and complexity are always a bit more than the maximum capacity and processing power afforded by their computers. There is a certain level of elasticity-in-complexity of problems - similar to Northcote Parkinson's "Work expands to fill the available time", FE problem size expands to quickly fill all the available RAM and Hard-disk. I always advice my engineers to start simple and go one step at a time. Patience is the key. Otherwise we would easily get frustrated.
