Article The Terpene Synthase Gene Family of Carrot (Daucus carota L....
Dear Abhishek, we are doing this type of research in carrots - to identify candidate genes that are associated with (and perhaps responsible for) volatile terpenes. The methodology, especially the GBS-based GWAS is described in our last paper.
Abhishek Sharma GWAS is a lucrative term and fancy to hear and discuss about but the analysis and specially interpretation of result is very difficult. And for such analysis, the prerequisites are to have a good genomic, bioinformatic and statistical background to understand what is going on what what needs to be done. For the new people, it is recommend to have assistance of an expert for the project design and analysis/interpretation. Frank Dunemann please correct me here if I am wrong.
you are completely right. Since GWAS is mostly based on sequence data like GBS data, the involvement of reseachers with ggod knowledge in molecular genetics and bioinformatics is essentially at the beginning of a new GWAS project.
