The dynamic nature of CSF poses problems in hydrocephalus management. A shunt (CSF drainage) leads to compensatory secretion of CSF leading to escape of balance (optimal) CSF pressure point in many patients:

1) How does this fact affect your preference of either a fixed gravity or an adjustable valve?

2) How does it affects your decisions of adjustments in case you implanted an adjustable valve?

3) What are your expectations for the coming flow valves vs pressure valves or any other future technologies. I am looking for explanation of your opinion.

My great thanks in advance to sharers.
