I have done research, but I am making a lot of inferences and I want to be sure I am correct.
1) Does one use ELISA?
2) Does one use serotonin, the patient's blood, and a biomarker to show if / when the antigen and antibody hook up?
And is this done as a medical test in clinic as of yet? So far, I've only seen it within studies.

HI, I am not really a specialist of serotonin, but I think using ELISA to detect your anti-serotonin Ab is a good idea. I would first extract serum or plasma and then test the presence of Ab in this sample. As serotonin is really small you cannot coat it directly onto an ELISA plate ; you can use a serotonin-BSA conjugate to coat your plate ; then add your patient's sera / plasma at various dilutions and detect anti-serotonin Ab using anti-humans antibodies coupled to HRP for instance.
