But the non linearity of the system is not pre decided... It is determined by the stress applied. Iterations are performed until the elasticity( Resilience) stabilises
But E value variation in my model is derived by the model itself. The E value is redetermined by the stress applied. The value is iterated until the E value converges.
I am modelling a flexible pavement. The pavement has three layers. The middle layer is granular and has a non linear E value. That is E value of the layer varies in the coordinates of the layer.
So for that I have meshed the layer with a seed E value. Later for a load,the stress at each finite element is determined. This stress value is used to determine the E using K-Theta Model( Fairly accepted model), where E is a function of Theta. Then Each element is allocated the newly determined E value. The process is iterated until E Value converges.
Can you please suggest any ideas to perform the simulation?
