1-(3*stdev(min) + 3* stdev(max))/(max-min)

is the equation. If the max is 100000 +/-10000 and the min just give no signal, what should the equation be? Should I just use 0:

1-(3* stdev(max))/(max)

or should I double up:

1-(6* stdev(max))/(max)

I am not sure which makes more theoretical sense.
