What methods exist in the urban area, where it has paved roads, underground pipelines, subways, and buildings, to estimate groundwater recharge correctly considering human-induced effects?

In our Institute we have a number of bore/tube wells and an open well. By measuring the water levels at frequent time intervals we assess the recharge or depletion of water levels over a period of time. At times we also check the pollution levels with industrial/residential pollutants as the Institute is surrounded by different industries and residential colonies.
