The method of choosing a suitable publication has become more complicated as a result of the explosion of publications, specializations, and the rise of interdisciplinary topics. Until making a choice on when to write, authors must maximize against a variety of requirements or restrictions.
Which of the following factors do you most important to you to choose for publishing your research article(s)?
Selecting a journal for publishing a manuscript is often an exhausting task.
The JIF has been one of the most famous journal-level metric. Most people in academia value Journal Impact Factor (JIF) a lot. However, in some fields, especially those that fall in the area of humanities and social sciences, there are not many journals having JIF.Then those indexed in Web of Science but do not have an Impact Factor are equally good.
Scopus indexed can also be considered as the breadth of indexing of Scopus has been found to be broader. Similarly, indexing/abstracting services in your area of research can be considered. For Social Sciences people, EBSCO offers Social Sciences Abstract, Historical Abstracts, etc. One can publish in journals that are indexed by these services.
I prefer publishing in journals which are being published since a long time. So, if the current volume number of the journal is around 25 or higher, the journal is quite stable.
Then journals of associations and institutions of repute of your field are always a good option. Quantitative Science Studies is a new journal but it is the journal of ISSI. So I would always go for it.
You should always be careful with open access journals. Most of the predatory journals are in open access. However, that is not always the case.
If you are unable to publish but confident that your research is meaningful, upload your paper as a working paper in arXiv, REPec, etc. It wouldn't be counted as a publication, but people read ArXiv papers more than the papers published in "not so popular" journal. You would get citations and trust me, citations do matter when you apply for tenure.
It is all up to you. Indexing matters. JIF matters. Quality matters. Popularity matters.

2. The selected journal should be indexed in WoS / Scopus, etc.
3. If you are a research scholar, then you must confirm that the journal is listed in UGC care list or not?
4. Publication period... Identify the journal which takes least period to publish your research output.
5.Publication cost (Processing charge) - It should be free of cost or affordable fee.
