I am working with a protein which make bacteria resistant against organic solvents like toluene or benzene. Recently it was reported that this protein also has a binding affinity with phospholipid. I want to study the energetics of that interaction using ITC (isothermal titration calorimetry) but I don't know how to make the hydrophobic compound soluble in aqueous solution. Please suggest the best protocol or share your experience regarding this issue.
