The literature showed studies using Caco-2 cells seeded on the transwells, followed by a check on TEER (transepithelial electrical resistance) increase, confirms the polarisation. Question 1 - When cells form a monolayer, does that mean they are polarised, automatically? Question 2 - Apart from confocal microscopy (markers for apical/basolateral/tight junctions) and measurement of TEER, are there any other methods to confirm/characterize the polarised cells?

PS - Cell model - Intestinal epithelial cells.
