Through warm water, I able to dissolve NaCl on the surface level only. How do I penetrate the NaCl embedded inside the polymer? Or is there any other simple method to fabricate a porous PDMS?
You have very limited barrier properties in PDMS as compared to other elastomers so if you boil it; the NaCl should possibly dissolve and diffuse out. I have myself built a number of windsurfing boards and to get the abrasive traction surface where you stand, you just salt the surface of the partially cured epoxy or polyester. With time, the salt dissolves completely. Interesting question, I guess it will also depend on the crystal size of the NaCl, i.e. the time it takes to dissolve it.
the simplest method by melt down the row material in the empty previously designed metal templet and then applied electromechanical pressure to form the templet. remember this method have many advantages and disadvantages.
