I measure the dry weight biomass of fungi overtime. Sometimes the growth curves are not perfect and determining a growth rate from the log/exponential phase is difficult. What suggestions do you have for normalizing your growth data or dealing with outliers? I have images below of some of my growth curves.

Those do not look outliers, graphs are parallel (especially graph 3), but measurement or other experimental issues. Even the second graph, where green and purple are not parallel, they behave the same.
If they would be outliers, and you cannot find the reason, with a larger sample size you can create regression analyses with and without them. Later, you could do an experiment what original regression was the more realistic one.
Thanks for your answer Robert. I calculate growth rates from growth during the log phase but as you can see, it is not clear what the log phase is since there is so much fluctuation in growth.
