You always need to start from a precursor biologically produced. The total synthesis of such compound(s) will be not a wise approach.
It is so difficult to just think that you want to totally synthesize such a compound, since it has 9 chiral centers in addition to the configurations of three double bonds. Derivatives that had been introduced for medicinal use are obtained from undergoing reactions (formylation) to a reactive center in the naphthalene by substitution and then preparing derivatives from the introduced aldehyde. Other semisynthetic derivatives are made depending on the reactivity of phenolic OH groups

Thank you for your kind help.yeah its quite long route. As I do not have any facility for fermentation, so was thinking to synthesize it by chemical process.
Buying it from sigma-aldrich would be a lot cheaper than synthesizing it. try
