This is the first time for me to calculate area though I am previously familiar with the image j sofware. I have to measure a area of an organ, kidney through image j. I have set up the scale bar. That comes down to 714.0252 pixels/mm. In the results window that comes out, I have seen area column. Is it just i need to square the value of pixels that is 714X714 to get the millimetre squared or Is there a formula to calculate it?

When using the "Analyze particles" plugin, the results are automatically converted to user unit, in your case to squared millimeters. So you should not need to do anything! (Well, assuming the image scale is correctly calibrated).
You can check by removing the scale (Analysis->Set Scale->clear scale), and recomputing area (this time in squared pixels). The ratio between the two measurements should be 714*714.
Be careful when using other plugins, the management of spatial calibration is not always implemented, and this is not always very well documented.
