Sometimes the absorbance of the test solution is more than the control and gives the negative value of percentage inhibition. If it is so, what indicates whether the concentration of the test solution is reduced/some other parameter has to be optimized?
Your control have some OD say 1.0 and your test solution give more than 1.0 which means generally we think inhibition is not there. but I think the increase in OD of test solution is due to the test organism which inhibit the other one and can grow rapidly. Therefore it is wise to take 0.1ml from each test and control n spread on Agar plate and count the CFU/ml. Hope I am right. All d best.
