In one of Springer's journals, I have responded to a major revision. Since that I'm keenly tracking the progress of my manuscript. About every 10 days or two weeks, the revise date is changing, however, the manuscript status hasn't changed "Under review" I am waiting for 4 months. And I think it is very very long time. What should I do in this case. By the way the first decision was after 45 days.

You may follow them up in writing, enquiring about the publication. Your enquiry may be sent to the editor directly and/or to the journal's management, depends on the journal's policy. Be patient a lit bit since these journals usually assign busy editors to review relevant papers.
Maybe it was summer time and it happen that in summer time nothing happen
Hi - I agree with the points made by Prof-Dr-Ahmed Al-Baidhani أ. د. احمد البيضاني and Jaroslav Dvorak that patience is required, but a polite email to the editor asking for an update is quite acceptable. Having completed the work, you should have a response within a reasonable time.

Go to the journal website and find the editor or go to the dashboard of the online submission of the journal and send the correspondence
Better to kindly communicate the journal editor about the reason why it delayed.
There's always 'contact us' menu where you can get email addresses for contacting the journal administrators

Follow the journal guidelines, which may involve writing directly to the editor via email or writing through your manuscript manager or through the journal website

Dear Dr Hend Ahmed Hamed . You can write to the editor in chief asking about the situation of your article . This happened with me since three years . After that the editor in chief accelerated the process and the paper published .
No news is good news! If I were in your shoes, I would simply wait. If the "Track your manuscript" has nothing new I would cling to patience.

I don't advice writing a "reminder" to the Editor-in-Chief. It might have adverse consequences!
At this time of year (close to Christmas), it is even more of a problem. I note your enquiry was a long time ago already but I can only anticipate it to be exacerbated by the current timing.
All depends on the type of article you are talking about. If you are talking about an original contribution, you should take into account some things:
1. Some journals almost doubled the number of received papers as a consequence of the COVID topic, but the number of associated editors has not increased
2. The reviewers are really tired
3. There is a higher competitiveness between journal, so the number of reviewers/paper is higher.
Anyway, we can see the mean/median number of days of response of each journal in their websites. If you are waiting at least more than double time of this period, I think it os a good moment to write the journal manager (first) and the EIC/AE (if no response) always in with a smart letter and adequate language. Almost always a good solution arrives.
You can visit the journal website, it might have email addresses where you can channel your inquiries.
Why not write to the editor in chief asking about the status and progress of your manuscript?
If you are the corresponding author, you can swiftly send an email to the Editor-in-Chief requesting for the current status of your revised manuscript, quoting the article reference number and other details. Hopefully, you may get a favorable and timely response. Thanks.
It's a good concern. Most of the scientific journals provide the schedule of each steps while publishing the manuscript. Prior submitting the manuscript, one should go through the time period required for publication if accepted.
