I want to dope Al in ZnO by Sol gel method and due to this fact, I use Aluminum acetate but I can't make a homogenous solution because it doesn't dissolve in water or ethanol even by temperature 80 degree centigrade.
First of all, I strongly recommend you to read te following paper: DOI 10.1007/s10971-014-3612-1, because they synthesized ZnO and its synthesis procedure can help you a lot. I suggest you to try dissolve Aluminum acetate in the precursor solution and starting for small amounts in order to find the limit solubility. If you still cannot dissolve it, try to add some drops of formic acid. That will help a lot!
thanks alot my dear. It is good but I have to use Al acetate and I want to find a way to dissolve it in ethanol. I used sulforic acid in order to dissolve it in water and it was done but as I added the ethanol to it to make my last solution, it precipitated and I want to know how to solve these problems.
