Do you have a solution of it? or is it a solid? In this case are you trying to study crystallization process for then? In a production process, normally crystallization came as a separation process before other step where the product is in solution. Manufacturing process can tell you where your product is soluble. Another possibility is that the product is generated by reaction, and precipitate. in this case you have to perform precipitation study.
The MSDS file of the product may also help you because normally present the solubility of the product.
I agree with all advices above. In order to obtain the single crystal of insoluble compounds you have several ways. Try more polar solvents, e.g. DMSO, DMFA, CH3CN. In case compound forms due to reaction between two reactants, you could treat solvent- or gel-separated reaction in U-like tube. And certainly, the solvothermal crystallization is very robust technique. Perhaps, MeOH or EtOH in autoclave at 120-160oC would work well.
