We have used the QIAamp DNA Mini Kit (QIAGEN) for Isolation of genomic DNA from Actinomyces, grown in pure culture. We got DNA in each case and downstream work (16S rDNA PCR) worked well.

Try with liquid nitrogen. Froze the cells and them use a mortar to make dust. It is a very efficient method to lysate any type of cells.
