I am currently developing natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) for flavonoid extraction from my plant sample. However, I am having the difficulty to evaporate off the developed NADES in order to recover the extracted flavonoid since the components of NADES having low volatility. Based on my literature readings, some used macroporous resin and solid phase extraction (SPE) for recovery. I need some helps for those who had encountered such problem before on how did you overcome it. Much appreciated.

NADES are mostly water with added sugars etc. So you end up with a solution which is very much the same as what there was in your plant sample... therefore still need to separate, purify, eliminate the water (very energy consuming) and the rest. I jut do not understand the logic of using these "solvents", as final energy requirements are much too high.
Try to re-extract the compunds from DES to organic solvents by LLE or SPE. You can think also on preparative LC.

Most of DESs do not contain water, but the hydrophilic pne can extract it from the plant sample.
