I have created a 2D model to simulate microwave heating in COMSOL (version 4.3a). I am able to see how the specimen temperature is varying with time, but the electric field surface plot is not showing any variation with time. How display electric field at different times?

I'm not sure if you are trying to plot the electric field distribution (surface plot) in "real-time" (while the solver is running) or after the solver has finished.
In case you want to view the electric field potential distribution while the solver is running, you must define a probe (Model -> Definitions -> Probes -> Domain Probe) on the corresponding domain, before running the solver.
In case you want to plot the electric field distribution after the solver has finished its job, you need to go to Results -> 2D Plot Group -> Surface and select the potential expression (e.g. V, mod.V etc.) in the Expression field. Here, you can select the corresponding dataset (Solution 1, Solution 2 etc.) and time values for the electrical potential surface plot.

I believe viewing an animation of the surface plot would serve the purpose. In the Model Builder, find Export node, right click on it and select Player or Animation.
