You’re essentially halving the concentration, so you’ll need to mix equal parts of your 0.1% DMSO-media solution with fresh, DMSO-free media. Example: If you have 1 mL of 0.1% DMSO in media, just add 1 mL of plain media to it. The final volume (2 mL) will now have 0.05% DMSO. Make sure your cells tolerate the adjusted DMSO concentration and the slight change in media composition.

Prepare 5% alfalfa plant extract in 0.1% DMSO by adding 50ul of alfalfa plant extract in 950ul of 0.1% DMSO. Add 50ul of this 5% alfalfa plant extract prepared in (0.1%) DMSO to 50ul of culture media. This will give you 100ul of 2.5% alfalfa plant extract in 0.05% DMSO.

As per your requirement, you may increase the volume of the working solution.

If I dilute the alfalfa extract which is still in paste form using 100ml of 0.1% DMSO solvent (to be used as a stock solution), it will become a stock solution of alfalfa extract with a concentration of 100% in 0.1% DMSO, right?

then if I want to use another concentration according to my needs (eg: 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%) from the stock solution with a DMSO concentration of 0.05%. will the method be the same?
