Hello all! Hope you are doing fine. I had an issue regarding retrofitting of my model in Abaqus. Your kind help will really help me get out of my problem. "I am modeling a 3d masonry wall and I want to apply retrofitting of PP Bands on it. But the problem I am having is, I can't make the PP Band as 'wire element' because Abaqus doesn't allow a 2d wire to be wrapped on 3d wall. The other option I have is to make PP Band as '3d shell' but the problem is, it gives so many interactions between wall and PP band. So, I want to use 'wire element' fixed at top and bottom of the wall. How can I do that?
