There are two parts in model, a sheet and a tool. I defined tool as rigid body using constraint manager. By doing that I get a warning.
warning: "Each of the nodes in node set WarnNodeBcAtRbSlaveNode have prescribed boundary conditions and belong to rigid bodies but are not rigid body reference nodes. The boundary conditions at these nodes will not constrain the motion of the rigid bodies.
It is necessary that I give displacement to tool only. Sheet is fixed.
I agree with Raafat that probably one of the most efficient ways to do this is to define the material as elastic and assign it a very high value the Young's modulus (i.e. at least three orders of magnitude higher than any other material in your model).
In the definition of the part. Click on the part in the tree with the right mouse button and than edit.

I tried changing the part definition but then it cannot be instanced in the assembly. I considered doing "discreet rigid". Tool needs to be defined as a rigid body using constraint manager.

I agree with Mr Malviya, I think before creating part you need to select it rigid not deformable
A trick is to define the part as discrete rigid. Then, off course, you need a mesh but, because it will not deform, the mesh can be very coarse.

Yes you need mesh, but do not assign material properties the rest of the modules are the same

Mr. Raafat and Mr Filipe, my initial thought was the same, but Abaqus still gave errors. Defining the tool as discreet rigid has other advantages too (master-slave need not be defined separately.)
Mr. Umar, Thankyou i did exactly like you suggested and it worked. ofcourse, I had to define inertia to the part as mass.
There are number of tutorials on the Internet that explain how to assign material properties to a part and apply boundary conditions. If you cannot download any please send your email and I will forward to you
I would suggest you to create the tool "part" itself as a rigid bidy with a reference node. You can then aply your displacement boundary condition with respect to the reference node.
in module part tool add RP. you can do that as:
in the top menue got to TOOLS tab----> Refrence Point
then type the x,y,z coordinates
if you add RP as above then you can apply the boundary conditions to this RP
but if you RP in the interaction module then you get the worning you mentioned above.
don't forget to earse RP you creat in the interaction module.

Your problem is you apply a boundary condition to a node on rigid body. to solve that problem create a reference point and add the same boundary conditions to it. follow the steps below:
Enter the "Part" Module then on look for tab "Tools"---->Reference
Then it will ask you to select a point to act as reference point or enter X,Y,Z coordinates of the point.
The reference point is used by Abaqus to apply any boundary condition to the Rigid body, as you cannot add BCs directly on any other node.

You can create a rigid 2D planar part in Abaqus, either as analytical or discrete rigid. I attached Create Part menu for your consideration.
Consider the part as analytical rigid. Add a reference point, set the required boundary condition base on this RP.
