I am determining Dietary patterns from a 150 items food frequency questionnaire data already entered in SPSS (Using data from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey) using PCA. I can form food groups using published literature, but I dont know how to enter these food groups in SPSS since I dont have data values for the frequency of consumption and serving sizes of these consolidated food groups. Data only consists of values for original individual food items in the FFQ. In other words, what are the data values of the new food groups?
