How do I calculate Specific Absorbance of Castor Oil Virgin ?

I am trying to understand how to calculate specific absorbance of castor oil as prescribed on British pharmacopoeia and I am very confused. could some one here explain me how to do it. I got an absorbance reading of 0.1786 at 270nm.
