I am working on a project tracing projections using an Alexa594-conjugated dextran. I am interested in very fine processes which I'm having difficulty distinguishing from my autofluorescent background. I was interested in "boosting" the signal of my Alexa594. Does anyone know of any techniques that would be effective? More specifically, does anyone know of an anti-Alexa594 antibody?

if you are using Fluorescent microscopy to look for your Alexa 594 signal, I would suggest you use the correct filter and also have a negative control without adding Alexa 594, so that you can eliminate the background noise
I have used alexa 594 coated magnetic particles to label stem cells and have got pretty nice results without much trouble in signal intensity or background. I used Leica Advanced Fluorescent microscopy with Y3 filter for Alexa 594

I strongly recommend using biotinylated dextran. It has given us excellent results.

you might check with ThermoFisher about an antibody. They make one against AF488, but don't know about 594.
