Hello everyone. I have 2D geometries to solve fluid flow in ANSYS Fluent. How do I rapidly extract velocity magnitudes in a specific cross-sectional region, using an isoline, w/out having to probe each streamline in CFD Post?

Hello Abdu, you can use the chart tool in CFD results module. Select the velocity magnitude along the length of the streamlines, you can assossiate each variable with any axis x or y.
You first have to define the stream lines to consider in the chart.

Thank you Marco. Let me look at charts in a bit. However, I will not be interested in velocity changes along streamlines but in a direction perpendicular to the flow. Its like probing the velocity of each streamline in a radial direction along a straight line at a specific region. In fact, I have done this using the probe tool but its too daunting. I'm sure there must be a better way.
In this case, I think you can define a function to be evaluated, a user function in post-processing. You can try to explore this alternative. Then you can plot the function against time or length in a chart.
