I am currently teaching critical appraisal skills to MSc psychology students, many of whom will conduct a systematic review for their dissertation. We have covered appraising RCTs using the RoB-2 which, when completed, guides you clearly to outcomes of High Quality, Some Concerns and Low Quality. Some of the students will be appraising pre-post studies, and I have signposted them to the JBI checklist for quasi-experimental studies. However, whilst the questions are easy to answer, how does one arrive at an overall appraisal of quality? I've searched the manual and can't see how. Thanks in advance for your help.
