If you'll excuse the pun, "The Devil is in the details." The FIRST issue is whether someone has a belief that we continue in some form or another beyond what we experience as our lives in this world. Those who reject any spiritual or continuing existence of humans beyond death don't have a problem with it (even if they should). Those who DO have some innate belief that there is MORE follow various religious practices and worldviews to "prepare" them for the next phase of existence.
Anxiety is primarily caused by some foreboding of a less-than-ideal later state, which religions try to assuage in many ways. The success of those methods may have more to do with how correct their interpretation is than with the basic "faith" or belief of the individual.
I'm happy with mine, and will share it with anyone, but I don't claim that I necessarily have THE correct answer for YOU. Of course, _I_ believe my understanding to be correct. But, I do not insist that you have to believe it just because I do. Similarly, I don't really care about your opinion of my beliefs.
