This is indeed an odd question. I don't think that to do STEM it is a matter of gender, perhaps of preferences or sensitivities.
Of course STEM is a traditional men field, but it does not mean that a woman can't do it. The opposite is also true, there are a lot of female fields, but it does not mean that a man can't do it. Do you know for instance that in the most advanced societies more women medical doctors graduate than men?
There are multiples examples of women doing relevant work and discoveries in these fields, for instance the Polish Marie Slodowska (Madame Curie), who discover radioactivity. Perhaps it will be a surprise for many, but do you know who was the first researcher in the newest of sciences, that is Artificial Intelligence?
