In a prepademic time, we were seeking to ensure that older adults have to receive a specialized assessment, which is called a comprehensive geriatric assessment, which has multiple components, merits contact with the health professional, and is delayed, as described in the following manuscript.

Currently, during the pandemic, the geriatric population have the biggest risk, reason why in many countries around the world, they are in quarantine, and even an inverse quarantine is proposed, so, if possible, their medical visits should be at home, by trained personnel, and with a strict follow-up to prevent them from infecting older adults.

In my opinion, older adults require a comprehensive geriatric evaluation every 3-6 months, and monthly telephone follow-up, this in order to reduce their exposure, but have an adequate evaluation if they require changes or paraclinics that could change behaviors.

Definitely, geriatric studies will be affected by COVID -19. Because going to the field and doung research have reduced and will reduce more in future for few years. It is not possible to do online research among elders is not very much easy because elders are not much acquainted with use of smart phone and online meetings etc.

Available data from the pandemic indicate that COVID-19 deaths occur predominantly among the elderly and co morbid people. I personally feel that geriatric studies will be affected by COVID -19 Pandemic. As we are not bale to go to the community to do the research. It is not possible to do online research among elders as they are not much acquainted with use of smart phone, internet and online discussion.
