Good morning,
I'm currently working on the development of a vaccine against Staphylococcus aureus and developing an intratracheal murine model using S. aureus USA300. To better understand the infection model, I am interested in acquiring a bioluminescent strain of this pathogen for in vivo imaging studies. I came across several papers mentioning that private companies such as BEI Resources or Caliper Life Sciences provided bioluminescent strains such as S. aureus Xen29, Xen40 and Xen36 strains. Still, they never got back to me when I requested and I could not see them listed on their catalogs. I was therefore wondering if some of you might have used them and where did these come from.
Thank you so much for your time. I appreciate your help and wish you a lovely day!
