I am working on BPH-1 cells with traditional chinese medicine, I chose two different doses (3 folds larger than each) but results of gene expression & protein expression seems so similar. How can I describe it?
Hello, it mean you take overdose of drug and you reach the level where concentration of drug dose not matter. Use more lower doses for more reliable results.

I don't think one can say anything if the dose is too high or whatever, unless you know for sure that your compound is actually regulating any pathway which can result in any effect on gene regulation and expression. Furthermore, there is no control you mentioned, thus, your experiment makes no sense, unless you compare the treated samples with untreated/control samples.

Marisol Herrera-Rivero, My drug has an effect but the doses haven't shown significant difference. Gene & protein expression are changing, but there are no significant changes in 24 hours but in 48 hours there are some trend. How can i describe it?

Marisol, I think you used a control and respect to the gene expression probably the compounds at these concentration has the same effects on those genes, those results suggest that at these concentration they have same mechanism of entrance and signaling routes , you must try a very low and high concentration and look for gene expression related with proliferation or toxicity also try time exposure.
