I have a polymer which hasn't been studied before. I did some cyclic voltammetry studies to evaluate it has oxidation or reduction potential or not. I found that this polymer has oxidation polymer (measurement was done in 10 mM ferri/ferro cyanide). My question is how can I understand if this polymer is conducting or not? Which kind of techniques should I try? Are voltammetric techniques sufficient enough to evalute conductivity? Please let me know ıf you know.
I guess you mean electronically conductive, am I right? To understand this you can make a coating with it and just try to get the electronic resistance from Ohm's law taking into account thickness and area of the film.
Yes, by using voltammetric techniques one can scan the oxidation and reduction potential scan also. Initially you should try simply linear sweep voltammetry or open circuit potential vs time scan.
Impedance, cv, and linear sweep will be suffice but you should try, the un modified electrode first, then modified electrode with polymer, if the results are good i mean if current will increase then you can say it is conductive.
In order to say that it is oxidative, you should examine polymer after polymerization.

In addition to Michele's answer you could perform a four point probe measurement, if there is the equipment in your department...

Polymer electrolyte are example of polymers that are conductive. I mean electronic conductivity and not ionic.These polymer electrolyte are conductive only when they are doped.
it depends on its structure if the polymer has conjugated pi electrons or not. and if it can be doped chemically or electrochemically. You have to measure the conductivity of the polymer film using 4- points method.
As a polymer (not stiff) material, 4-point probes and other conventional techniques are too complicated for giving reliability results. I suggest to attest electroconductivity with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy: check for instance our results in j mater chem b, 2013, where we study conductivity along a polyacrilamide hydrogel doped with carbon nanotubes
