Hi,
We are trying to simulate the change in refractive index in a liquid medium due to laser induced heat generation, i.e the thermal lensing effect (single beam thermal lens technique), using the COMSOL simulation software. The main steps in the simulation are,
1) Generation of a Gaussian laser beam (TEM00).
2) Focusing of the laser beam using a convex lens.
3) Generation of heat inside the liquid sample placed at the focal plane of the convex lens due to the absorption of the laser beam.
4) Increase in temperature inside the sample due to heat generation.
5) Change in refractive index of the sample due to the change in temperature.
6) Convergence or divergence of the transmitted laser beam due to the change in refractive index.
7) Measure the beam center intensity of the transmitted laser beam at far field.
Please help us to simulate this.
Thank You
