Are you using the windows version of Silvaco  ?  If yes, then you can find examples related to thin film solar cell  in file menu (Silvaco 2017). The manual of Silvaco ATLAS is very helpful for understanding the codes. :) 

There are several softwares for simulating thin film solar cell available in marktet. I use Lumerical. Here is an example of simple p-n junction solar cell in Lumerical. You can find several examples in Solar Cell section (You can find it in application section)
