You have to select a chiral column. I think you have to optimised with non-polar hexane, heptane,chloroform.

I operate on two systems

1) reversed phase I use macherey nagel columns they have a searchable data base.

2) "normal phase" I usually do with regis columns whelk O 1 and 2 are Ok starting points if you do not know anything.

If you have to find out by try and error it will get expensive as these columns cost a bit.
