For monosaccharide analysis- we have to treat the sample with TFA. How can we remove TFA from the sample. One way is to condense the sample using vacuum evaporator and another way is by adding methanol. How can we remove this methanol from TFA? Kindly suggest me procedure to do this.
Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA )is strong organic acid, considerably weaker than strong inorganic acids. And can be removed using rotary evaporator. Add Methanol (5~6 times) and remove methanol by rotary evaporator. Most of the TFA is removed using this procedure and traces can be removed using vacuum.
