Dear Sadia,
In 250 mL round bottom flask, dissolve 0.1 mole of diketoneester.BF3 and 0.1 mole sodium acetate in 100 mL water. Reflux while stirring the reaction for about 1 hour. Cool the reaction mixture to RT. Extract 3 times with 100 mL dichloromethane (DCM). Collect the DCM fractions, dry over anhydrous MgSO4, filter and evaporate. The residue will be the free diketoester.

0.4736/MW of diketonoester.BF3 = Xg/MW sodium acetate
X (g Sod. acetate) = (0.4736/MW diketonoester.BF3) x MW sodium acetate
