Normally we have guidelines what vaccum pressure is suitable for an individual solvent at particular boiling point when using Rotavapor. I am using chloroform:methanol mixture(2:1) to dissolve lipids, temperature 20°C(40°C water bath). Chloroform and methanol form azeotropes with atm boiling point around 54°C. So, what is the vaccum pressure I can increase upto to form homogeneous lipid film without solvents shooting right away?
