Change de elastic modulus. Calibrate the model with dynamic identification tests. An initial calibration can be made using only one elasticic modulus for all te tower.
The calibration process is based on a preliminary sensitivity analyses of the parameters that influence more the dynamic response of the structure.
After this we usually perform model updating manually changing through iterations the mechanical characteristic( in term of stiffens and mass) and the boundary conditions of the implemented FE models. Good calibrations means approximate match between experimental and numerical frequencies.
Unfortunately I do not have the opportunity to build model on shaking table using forced vibration tests. At least we can try to do the assessment procedure including full-scale ambient vibration testing, modal identification from ambient vibration responses using three different identification methods.
