Firstly I have to mention that I modeled shear walls by perform3d software. By using Sap for modeling the shear walls the responses were not converged. So I went on by perform3d. In the other hand I found a way to model shear wall in Etabs.

how can I model shear wall in etabs for plastic hinge to perform pushover analysis?

I mentioned before that I use two other elements rather than wall. In ETABS it's not common to add hinges to planer elements such as walls. So you have to use linear elements such as column and beam. Ofcourse, the new elements must have same behaviour, compare to walls. For my model both walls and the new elements have same moment-curvature curve. The most difficulties concern to finding the new element. By adding this you can assign defined plastic hinges and continue the analysis.

I want to run a pushover analysis (in ETABS 2015) for a building that contains concrete shear walls combined with RC Moment Frame but don't know how to do it. in addition I need an experimental model to verify my work with.

I'm having kind of a similar problem with etabs 2015. I'm trying to perform non-linear dynamic analysis on a structure with RC shear walls. I'm modelling shear walls with frame elements and using a similar technique mentioned in the second article you sent in the last reply to Amir. Now I have 2 major problems, Firslty, I can't assign shear wall plastic hinge properties to frame elements. Secondly, I'm having problems with computational run time while using nonlinear direct integration method for the analysis, so I'd rather use FNA which requires modelling plastic hinges as links. Your advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks

I applied plastic hinges, M3, at the two ends of "mide pier element" which were used instead of shear walls. To define plastic hinges for these elements they were modeled in SD Section module and moment-curvature analysis was carried out. Then moment and curvature corresponding yeilding state were extracted from and used to define the hinges. I didn't use automatic module to form the hinges as it applies to only steel elements. 

Have you attached proper hinges or not? In some cases assigning improper hinges lead to a long computational time- unless, of course,  having a complicated moel.

Thanks for your fast reply. Yes my model is somehow complicated, I'm working on a 60 story building. Also, my time domain data are huge, as I'm simulating a 1 hr cyclic loading. Regarding the hinges, I assigned M3 plastic hinges. I want to see will direct integration be suitable for my model in terms of computational time or should I go to FNA right away.

I'm not sure. your model is too complex. I suggest you to try another software. For a 60-story frame and cycling load I doubt that the nonlinear analysis would be converged. The 50-story frame of mine could not be converged.

I'm currently trying to model a masonry building using the Equivalent Frame Method, with frame elements. But I'm not sure if the kind of hinges I have to use have to be shear hinges (V2) or the behavior of a shear wall has to be modeled with another type. I was wondering if you have any model with this method that you could share with us. Thank you for your answer.
