I am doing a RT-qPCR for gene expression analysis of cancer patients, and there are four different groups in the results. The first group that shows over expression of my target gene (both two repeats of control and samples show a great melting curve and CT), the second group is the same as the first one except in one of the pairs (tumor or adjacent normal tissue), just one of the replicates has a melting curve and CT, and the other one has no amplification which has happened so many times that I'm pretty sure it is not sampling error. In the second group, I get melt curve and CT in either the tumor sample or adjacent normal tissue. And the third group has absolutely no melt curve and CT. How should I report these results?
