I presume you have to grow your plants in a hydroponic system, then later wash the root exudates and collet the solution for concentration.

What is your purpose for that?
As I interpret you want to analyze the exudates for some kind of drought stress related thing. And in my opinion, hydroponics is not a good idea, reason being i) you are not stressing plant roots as they would be in natural drought ii) you are devoiding roots from the natural rhizosphere microbiota.
Abhijeet Singh thank you for your answer. I agree, under drought stress we have to grow tomato plants in soil. I want to use soil a medium and collect tomato root exudates. If we grow tomato plants in soil, it will be very hard to obtain the roots without damaging them. Will there be any effect on the concentration of root exudates in damaged roots?
