Kindly check the compressive strength also, if possible. As Flexural properties are a combination of tensile as well as compressive properties (below and above the neutral plane respectively). This can surely help in explaining the same.
I guess this observation may be attributed to the resin. For polyester resin, which are classified into flexible, semirigid, and rigid resins, in general, rigid resin is used, which normally suffer degradation in ultraviolet light. Yet, one needs to look carefully into the composite structure and the type of test made.
