Plasmonics is the collective oscillations of electrons in the metal nanostructures. These collective oscillation produces a high intense oscillating electric field near the surface of metal nanostructure.

Even though this is plasmonics, why and how this near field plasmonic is explained by scattering mechanism in larger nanoparticles (eg, Ag > 50 nm)
